Ukraine’s Sport Authorities Discussed Doping Control Issues and Еpidemiological Situation in Brazil

Ukraine’s National Olympic Committee and National Antidoping Center initiated seminar for team officials and head coaches of the national Olympic sport federations to discuss on doping control issues and inform on Zika virus situation in Brazil ahead of 2016 Rio Games.

Ihor Hotsul, NOC Vice President and Senior Deputy of Ukraine's Sport Minister, moderated the meeting, attended also by Ukraine's Chef de Mission at Rio 2016 Nina Umanets, Chair of NOC Expert Council Mykola Kostenko and National Antidoping Center deputy chair Yaroslav Kruchek.

The experts and sport's top managers shared updates on doping control procedures at the Rio Olympics. They also informed team coaches and officials about epidemiological situation in the region, giving recommendations on how to prevent the infection and how to act properly in case of infection' suspect.

Teams' coaches and officials will provide the info for athletes and coaches who are preparing for the Games which are be opened on August 5th, 2016, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
