Pavlo Tymoshchenko Won Silver Medal in Modern Pentathlon

Modern Pentathlon ex-World champion from Ukraine Pavlo Tymoshchenko won silver medal in the men’s competition in Rio 2016.

Pavlo was one of two athletes – together with Andrii Fedechko – who qualified to the Olympic final race.

Tymoshchenko performed almost perfectly at the decisive pentathlon discipline 'combine' breaking to the top 3 due to balanced running and shooting. His final score is 1472 points.

His teammate Fedechko placed himself on 26th position scoring 1390 points.

Sergey Bubka, Ukraine NOC President and IOC Executive Board member, congratulated Pavlo and his coach and father Yuri wishing both to find new motivation and fitness for the next Olympic 4-years' period.
