The NOC of Ukraine President met the Head Representative of "Samsung Electronics"

On the 12th of April the NOC of Ukraine President Ivan FEDORENKO met the Head Representative of "Samsung Electronics" in Ukraine JEI CHAN YON. The company closely cooperates with the NOC of Ukraine and acts as official sponsor of Ukrainian Olympic Team.

At the meeting the results of collaboration and prospective of further cooperation were discussed. The NOC President thanked "Samsung" for support. He mentioned that in Salt-Lake Ukrainian athletes performed on the level of their possibilities, except women in biathlon (especially its leader Olena ZUBRYLOVA) who failed their performance. "It's period to overall results now and on the meeting of Organizing Committee on the performance in Olympic and Paralympic Games heading by the Prime-Minister of Ukraine Anatoliy KINACH we will obligatory point out the contribution of "Samsung" to the development of sports in Ukraine. The Olympic Winter Games finished and all the thoughts are connected with Summer Gamed in Athens-2004. The athletes prepare intensively for the most prestigious competitions, Ukrainians perform successfully in qualifying competitions. In Athens our delegation will be much bigger and results will be much better. There are certain fundamentals for it: this year Ukrainian archeries won European Championship, our swimmers won five gold medals on World Championship in Moscow, occupied the 4th place among more than 100 countries. We hope that our cooperation will go on contributing to the development of Olympic movement in Ukraine".

JEI CHAN YON said that "Samsung Electronics" have been cooperating with IOC for a long time supporting the Olympic movement in the world. The policy of the company is to support sports in each country, that's why Ukrainian office of the company pays much attention to the development of sports in Ukraine and glad to help the NOC and Olympic Team of Ukraine.

In the near future the sides will seat for negotiations to discuss the variants of further collaboration.
