"Biathlon is very popular in Ukraine, it's winter sport # 1 here. From year to year it attracts more and more admirers. We are planning to submit application to host Olympic Winter Games 2022 in Lviv at the nearest time. It is a great opportunity to create modern infrastructure for winter sports, which we are missing now," Sergey Bubka said.
"The Ukrainian biathlon has a high level. The Ukrainian Biathlon Federation is one of the best and belongs to top5 of the world. I wish Ukraine to hold international competitions of the high level but they require modern sports structures.
