The President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Sergey Bubka welcomed the First Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Andriy Vyshniak and the representatives of the World Bank Maxim Prosolov and Nicholas Dimitroff in the Olympic House.
Sergey Bubka told the guests about the unique Olympic projects which the National Olympic Committee realizes on a regular basis and which received the highest appreciation of the international community, namely the recognition of the NOC of Ukraine as international sports foundation that achieved success based on values in 2012.
The representatives of the World Bank informed about their programs and offered to get involved in various events and forums which are organized by the bank or other institutions for the purpose of familiarization with the World Bank activity and identification of common directions.
The meeting participants noted that the World Bank, sport and the Olympic movement strive for the same goal, improvement the quality of human life.
Also they discussed the importance of integration of sport into the programs of the World Bank in Ukraine, including the development of infrastructure, education and healthcare. According to all participants there is a large field for common and effective interaction.
It was agreed to explore the possibilities for enhancing cooperation.
