XXII Summer Olympic Games Medalists – 30 years after The celebration in honor of the XXII Summer Olympic Games Medalists was held in Kiev (Ukraine) on July, 21st. Initiated and organized by the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sport, this event assembled 35 Ukrainian Olympians to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 1980 Moscow Games.

The NOCs of Ukraine and Macedonia Signed The Agreement For Sports Cooperation The NOC of Ukraine President Sergey Bubka and the NOC of Macedonia President Vasil Tupurkovski signed the agreement for sports cooperation yesterday, in Skopje (Republic of Macedonia). According to its articles the countries expressed the determination to give to each other best possible support, in any occasion that may appear, and to encourage the National Sport Federations to coordinate their actions and foster their bilateral cooperation in the area of Olympic sport.
I Youth Olympic Games were presented in Gymnasium The great celebration devoted to the 1st Youth Olympic Games ever took place in the gymnasium “Potential” in Kyiv today. Among those who came to the school to take part in the unique show dedicated to the YOG -2010 were the NOC of Ukraine President, the Chairman of the IOC Coordination Commission for the Games Sergey Bubka, the Young Ambassador of Ukraine Iryna Merleni, Olympic champions and medallists Elbrus Tedeiev, Vadym Gutsait, Olena Govorova and Anna Sorokina.
Legendary athlete fulfilled his honorable mission for the eighth time At six o’clock in the morning today (PST) in the small Canadian town of Mission, British Columbia, located 5-10 km from the border with the U.S., the president of the National Olympic Committee, legendary Ukrainian athlete, Sergey Bubka, took part in the XXI Olympic Winter Games torch relay. The Ukrainian Olympic team for Vancouver-2010: 6 sportsmen more on the list The International Ski Federation has officially informed the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine on the quota extension for the Ukrainian Olympic team at Vancouver-2010. According to the FIS´s announcement made on Tuesday, January 26, 6 sportsmen have been added to the list of the Ukrainian delegation: 4 cross-country skiers (Roman Leybyuk, Lada Nesterenko, Oleksandr Putsko and Tetyana Zavaliy) and 2 snowboarders (Yosyp Penyak and Annamari Chundak).
41 athletes to represent Ukraine in XXI Winter Olympics in Vancouver On January, 21 the Executive Committee of the Ukrainian National Olympic Committee of Ukraine has approved the list of the country’s national squad for participation in the 2010 Winter Olympic Games that will take place in Vancouver, Canada from 12th to 28th of February. As the President of the NOC of Ukraine announced on Thursday (Jan, 21) at the press conference in Kyiv, the Ukrainian national team at the Vancouver 2010 Games will comprise of 41 athletes who will compete in 8 out of 15 sports.
