NOC of Ukraine Delegation Visited Moldova A delegation of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, namely the NOC President Sergey Bubka and two members of the NOC Executive Committee – the Chancellor of the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine Volodymyr Platonov and the President of the Olympic Academy of Ukraine Mariya Bulatova – paid a visit to Chisinau (Moldova) to participate in the ХV International Scientific Congress “Olympic sport and sport for all”. In the course of this forum, Sergey Bubka gave a speech on social and economical aspects of the development of the Olympic sports in the 21st century.
Sergey Bubka conferred the Doctor of Honors from the Sports University of Moldova During the ХV International Scientific Congress “Olympic sport and sport for all” which is underway in Chisinau (Moldova), the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Sergey Bubka was conferred the Doctor of Honors from the State University of Physical Education and Sports of Moldova, for his significant contribution to the development of sports and Olympism on the worldwide scale. Earlier, Sergey Bubka was awarded the same honorary degree by the National Sports Academy of Bulgaria, Lviv State University of Physical Culture, Donetsk National University and National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine.

Six Applicant Cities for the 2020 Olympic Games The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is pleased to announce that six cities have been put forward by their respective National Olympic Committees (NOCs) to apply to host the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in 2020. The cities, in alphabetical order, are: Baku (Azerbaijan), Doha (Qatar), Istanbul (Turkey), Madrid (Spain), Rome (Italy) and Tokyo (Japan).
