About the project
The Road to Olympics project is an innovative initiative aimed at developing and implementing a unique training programme for Ukrainian athletes with Olympic potential and their coaches.
The project is based on the methods of the Spanish International Center. Sports MentalCoaching and includes comprehensive approaches to mental training, the use of modern cognitive tools and the development of individual training plans that meet the specific needs and goals of each athlete.
The main idea of the project is to use a special innovative system to train cognitive functions through three-dimensional tracking of moving objects. This system significantly increases the level of attention, concentration, inhibition and information processing speed in athletes. It helps athletes to better concentrate on key game moments, filter out sensory distractions, maintain focus under high pressure, react faster and interpret body language more effectively. Implementing these techniques in the training process will help athletes achieve better results and increase their chances of success in international competitions and at the Olympic Games.
The Road to Olympics project also includes trainings that will facilitate the exchange of experience with colleagues.
The project also includes research and dissemination of results to promote effective approaches among other sports organisations.
The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine with the support of partners: International Centre. Mental Coaching (Spain), Kinetic Analysis - Human Motion Data (Netherlands), The Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwes (Ireland), Olympiacos SFP (Greece), European Platform for Sports Innovation (Belgium).
This cooperation creates new opportunities for the development and training of future Olympic champions.
