The Presidents of Poland and Ukraine NOCs Andrzej Kraśnicki and Sergey Bubka signed the Memorandum for Cooperation.
The ceremony at the ‘Olympic House’ (Ukraine’s NOC Headquarters) in Kyiv was attended by the Ambassador of Poland in Ukraine Henryk Litwin, Poland’s NOC Secretary General Adam Krzesiński, Poland’s NOC Director of Olympic Logistics and International Relations Marzenna Koszewska, as well as by NOC Ukraine Vice Presidents and Executive Board members.
Both sides declare their intentions to exchange the delegations of coaches and sport experts involving National Federations’ representatives, to arrange the training camps and manage competition participation for athletes from two countries both in
Sergey Bubka commented at the ceremony, ‘Our two countries have always been close – not only in terms of location, but in many other aspects, including sport. The joint hosting of the UEFA Euro 2012 has become great example of cooperation between our sport communities. The tournament gained recognition as one of the best ever. I’m confident that our Memorandum will open new opportunities for the progress and promotion of the Olympic Movement in both countries.
