Sergey Bubka will be responsible to the IOC athletes’ entourage

President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, International Olympic Committee Executive Board Member, International Association of Athletics Federations Vice-President and famous athlete Sergey Bubka will head the IOC Athletes' Entourage Commission.

This decision was announced by an official letter signed by IOC President Thomas Bach.

IOC Entourage Commission was established in 2010 and is an important component of the International Olympic Committee.

The Commission takes care of the relationship with their entourage of athletes - athlete environment that affects the athlete and his training. The circle of these persons are managers, agents, coaches, medical personnel, scientists, sports organizations, sponsors, lawyers, and anyone of those who affect the athlete's career, including his family.

However, according to the IOC President's appointment Sergey Bubka will continue working as a Member of the Coordination Commission for the preparation for the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, as well as an Honorary member of the IOC Athletes' Commission that he led by long time.

Earlier, Sergey Bubka was a member of the IOC Coordination Commission for the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing and headed the Commission on the preparation for the first ever Youth Olympic Games 2010 in Singapore.
