Freestyle Skier Oleksandr Abramenko – Ukraine’s Athlete of the Month In February

Ukraine’s National Olympic Committee claimed freestyle skier Oleksandr Abramenko as country’s Athlete of the Month in February 2016. Athlete’s coach Yuri Kobelnyk will receive ‘Coach of the Month’ Award.

27-years old from Mykolaiv demonstrated astonishing performances thought the season making it to the podium at three FIS Aerial World Cup events. He won bronze medal in Beijing, China, adding silver and bronze medals from Deer Valley, the USA, to the record. With that result, Abramenko finished the season with 310 points to earn his and his team's first ever Crystal Globe in his 11th World Cup season.

Abramenko and his coach will receive their first NOC's 'Athlete of the Month' and 'Coach of the Month' awards.
