National Olympic Committee experts nominated veteran shooter Mykola Milchev as Ukraine’s ‘Athlete of the Month’ in October 2016.

49-year-old won silver medal at the ISSF Shotgun World Cup final in Rome, Italy, competing with 9 world best opponents based on world rating.

Mykola Milchev, who is 2000 Olympic gold medalist and world record co-holder, has also demonstrated exceptional performance in Rio 2016 were he placed 4th in the final of skeet shooting. He was chosen as a flag bearer of the Olympic Team Ukraine at the Opening Ceremony in Rio 2016.

Ukraine's National Olympic Committee nominates and awards nation's best athlete in Olympic sports every month since 2005.
