Farewell to Erzurum!

Team Ukraine concluded its participation at XIII Winter European Youth Olympic Festival winning 3 silver medals in 3 different sports – biathlon (women’s sprint race – Khrystyna Dmytrenko), figure skating (Anastasiia Gozhva, ladies single) and snowboard cross (Glib Mostovenko).

25-strong Ukraine's team performed in 7 sports out of 9 (alpine skiing, biathlon, cross country skiing, snowboarding, ski jumping, figure skating and short track speed skating).

Winter EYOF 2017 culminated by the closing ceremony in the Erzurum Olympic village. Local Organizing Committee gave credit to the athlete, coaches, team members and volunteers who made the celebration of sport possible. The Olympic flag was lowered down and passed to the hosts of XIV Winter EYOF – Sarajevo and East Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Team Ukraine arrived in Kyiv late night on Saturday, February 18th, welcomed by the number of national media as well as by NOC President Sergei Bubka, Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Mykola Movchan and the representatives of winter sport national federations.

Sergey Bubka thanked young athletes for their performances wishing them to use experience they gained in Erzurum 2017 in their pro careers.
