Top officials from European Athletics including EA President Svein Arne Hansen were welcomed at Ukraine’s NOC Headquarters ‘Olympic House’ in Kyiv.

Mr. Hansen and EAA Council members Gregor Benčina and Márton István Gyulai had an official meeting with Sergey Bubka, the President of Ukraine NOC, and Ihor Gotsul, country's Athletics Federation President. They also viewed the Olympic House, and surveyed activities of NOC departments.

The European delegation is scheduled to meet with representatives of Ukraine's Government.

On Friday, May 12th, the group of EAA officials will travel to Lutsk city, 350 km west from Kyiv, to meet local government, as well as to attend opening ceremony of International Athletics match featuring Ukraine, Cyprus, Israel, Romania and Belarus U20 teams. The match will take place on Saturday, May 13t, at the renovated 'Avangard' stadium, televised live at national TV.
