In 3 months Hungarian Gyor will host the XIV summer European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF). The best young athletes from 50 countries of the continent will compete for the medals of the highest profile in sports event for the youth.

The Executive Committee of the National Committee of Ukraine approved Olena Pakholchyk, two times Olympic medalist in sailing (Atlanta-1996, Sydney-2000) to be a Chef de Mission for Ukraine at the EYOF 2017 in Gyor.

Olena has already been Chef de Mission at the winter European Youth Olympic Festivals in 2015 and 2017 and also at the XIII summer EYOF in 2015.

These days young Olympians are participating in the Olympic qualifying trials that will be finished in June.
