The IOC successful project «Young Ambassador» launched in 2010 for the Youth Olympic Games, inspired European Olympic Committees to adopt this experience.

For the first time in history of the European Youth Olympic Festivals (EYOF) the project «Young Ambassador» was piloted in Erzurum (Turkey) at the XIII winter EYOF 2017.

This is an educational project aimed at strengthening Olympic values with compliance with the Olympic Agenda 2020, sharing and promoting Olympic ideals on the educational basis and encouraging youth to communicate with each other.

Ambassadors will be trained via online educational programme prepared by the representatives of the EOC Culture and Legacy Commission as well as by the EOC Athletes Commission. First online meeting will be held on June 7 and then on June 21 and on July 12.

Glib Mostovenko, a silver medalist of the winter EYOF 2017 in snowboarding, was selected to be a Young Ambassador for the Ukrainian Team at the XIV summer European Youth Olympic Festival in Gyor (Hungary) which starts in July. 

During the winter EYOF Glib, despite his young age, proved himself to be a leader with great communication skills that were acknowledged by the Organizing Committee as well as by the Ukrainian Team.
