The second medal of the XIV European Youth Olympic Festival for Ukraine was brought by a judoka Oleh Veredyba (55kg).

Our athlete has demonstrated high skill, endurance on the way to his medal overcoming powerful athletes from Austria and Azerbaijan.

In the semi-final Oleh Veredyba just by "golden fast" he lost to  Georgian judoka, but won the battle for "bronze" with the representative of Great Britain.

"I am very pleased with my result and with the medal. At the tournament I had 4 matches and won 3 of them. Everything is fine", - he commented.

The NOC of Ukraine President Sergey Bubka congratulated Oleh, his coaches and the Ream of Ukraine.
