21 July, Kyiv. Ukraine celebrated official ceremony of sending-off Ukrainian Olympic Team to London which took place at the Maydan Nezalezhnosti square.

All-Ukrainian Torch Relay "Forward the Flame of Victory" has finally reached the main square of the country this day, where Sergey Bubka has lit it in special bowl. Celebrations named "Fan's Day" started in the centre of the capital of Ukraine at 1 pm being the only festival of sports fans uniting Ukrainian fans of all sports.

Ukrainian Olympians together with NOC President Sergey Bubka marched along the country's main street – Khreshchatyk.

Prime-Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov joined ceremony to wish athletes success and to deliver greetings from the President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych. Mykola Azarov has also given the flag of Ukraine to Roman Gontyuk who will be National flag-bearer at the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Official song of the Ukrainian Team "Champions" performed by Vitaliy Kozlovskiy and spectacular fireworks became the finishing strokes of the festival.
