It is the third day of the FINA World Swimming Championship (25m) carried on in Istanbul (Turkey).

In the evening program our team's treasure box was replenished by the first medal and straightaway of the golden quality. The medal's owner was Daryna Zevina with the result of 2.02,24 seconds at 200 m backstroke.

Ukrainian swimmer took the lead over Bonnie Brandon from the USA (2.03,19) and Duane da Rocha Marce from Spain (2.04,15).

The President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Sergey Bubka congratulated Daryna and the coaching staff with winning the World Champion medal and wished further sports success.
