Ukrainian got two medals in athletics

Ukrainian athletes got silver and bronze medals at the European Cup Winter Throwing ending in Spanish Castellon.

European champion in javelin Vira Rebryk took the 2nd place with a last-round effort of 63.42 m. With this result Vira is the number two in the world Top list.

Andriy Semenov (shot put) was third with 19.55.

In the team competition Ukrainian male team (Andriy Semenov, Oleksiy Semenov, Dmytro Mykolaychuk and Mykola Shama) took the third place - 4193 points.

Our athletes U 23 also performed successful. They got five medals. Girls team won the European Cup (3840) and the Men U 23 team was third (3980).

National Olympic Committee President, Vice-President of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Sergey Bubka welcomed the athletes and coaches with medals and wished to continue the glorious traditions of Ukrainian athletics at the upcoming competitions.
