43 athletes will represent Ukraine at the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. The list of Ukrainian Olympic Team was approved by the NOC Executive Board.

Each athlete had to go through a difficult qualification to be licensed and to compete among the strongest athletes of the planet.

"Although NOC is not directly responsible for the preparation of athletes for the Olympics, we did not stay aside of this extremely important process, we support the Ministry of Youth and Sports and federations that directly prepare athletes for the main launches of four years", - said Sergey Bubka.

NOC President mentioned that National Olympic Committee total budget predicted for Sochi is more than 4 million USD. This figure includes the scholarships for athletes and coaches, financial assistance to federations for training athletes, the acquisition of special fitness, tools and equipment, ensuring the final pre-Olympic training camps, scientific and antidoping activity.

"For maximum support of our top winter athletes we established 20 monthly scholarships with a total budget of more than 250 thousands USD. This program is being implemented from November 2012 to February 2014", - he stressed out.
