Happy day for Ukrainian Team in Sochi

Vita Semerenko won bronze medal in the sprint race at the distance of 7.5 km on the Olympic Games in Sochi!

The first start for our women's biathlon team on the Olympics was triumphant. One of the main hopes of the country - biathlete Vita Semerenko showed the third result.

President of the National Olympic Commitee of Ukraine Sergey Bubka, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Vilkul, the Minister of Youth and Sports Ravil Safiulin, the president of the Ukrainian biathlon federation Volodymyr Brynzak and a large army of Ukrainian fans were supporting the athlete.

The president of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Sergey Bubka was one of the first who congratulates Viţa Semerenko, her coaches and biathlon federation of Ukraine for the bronze medal.

"This is definitely one of the happiest days for our country! We were worried, but we believed in our athletes. Vita has made the amazing performance! We are proud of our athletes. I congratulate Ukraine with a great victory. My sincere congratulations for Vita and her coaches! It's an incredible success.

I want to express my gratitude to the president of the biathlon federation of Ukraine Volodymyr Brynzak, head coach of the team Vasil Karlenko, head coaches of women's team Nadia Bilova and Grygoriy Shamrai, first coach of Semerenko sisters Svetlana Bayda, massage therapists, greaser and all members of the biathlon team. Due to your well-coordinated work we have such a nice victory".

The winner of the competition was Anastasia Kuzmina, the second place won Olga Vyluhina.
