The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine recognized Oleg Verniaiev who is European Champion and two-time bronze medalist in artistic gymnastics Championship as the best athlete in May. His personal coach Gennady Sartynskyy was recognized as the best coach of the last spring month.

Oleg Verniaiev won exercises on the bars and also got to the podium in the vault and team competition.

This high recognition is the second one for Oleg Verniaiev. The previous time the National Olympic Committee recognized this gymnast as the best athlete in November 2012.
