Following the recommendations from the national federations Ukraine National Olympic Committee announced today the composition of the team for the 2nd Youth Olympic Games scheduled for August 16-28 in Nanjing, China.

58 athletes from 20 regions of Ukraine aged between 14 and 18 will compete in 22 of 28 sports.

Nanjing will welcome more than 3 500 athletes from over 200 NOCs all over the world for the second addition of the Summer Youth Olympics.

The inaugural Summer Youth Olympic Games were held in Singapore in 2010.

The 55-strong team Ukraine has won 35 medals including 10 gold, 9 silver and 16 bronze medals placing 3rd in the teams’ classification.
