58-strong Ukraine team departed to Nanjing, China, for the II Youth Olympic today from Kyiv’ ‘Boryspil’ International Airport.

Ukraine's Youth Olympians proceeded to Shanghai making transfer at the Frankfurt Airport. The team then moves from Shanghai to Nanjing, the host city of the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics arriving early in the morning on August 12th local time.

Ukrainian young Olympians will perform in 22 sports from 28 contested at the Games where 3600 athletes from morethan 200 NOCs would compete. However YOG are not pure sport event. It includes various cultural and educational projects which involve all the Games' participants.
