
ABOUT THE GAMES
The Third Youth Olympic Games will be held in Buenos Aires (Argentina) between October 6 and 18. For the first time, the Third Youth Olympic Games will take place outside of Asia (Singapore-2010, Nankin-2014). The participants of contests are young athletes aged between 15 and 18 coming from 206 countries. They will compete for 241 set of awards in 32 sports (34 sports disciplines).

SLOGAN
‘Feel the future’ – is the slogan of the YOG-2018. The slogan of the Games bears the hope that 3998 athletes, participating in the first in the history of the YOG event that has an equal number of women and men athletes, will become an example of enthusiasm, cooperation and unity. Moreover, it is aimed to become a source of life improvements through sport for young people all around the world.

YOUNG CHANGE-MAKERS
The Young Change-Makers program is a new stage in the successful development of the Young Ambassadors project, which is being implemented by the International Olympic Committee within the framework of the YOG Cultural and Educational Program. The main goal of the Change-Makers is to support athletes basing on their own experience in the Games participation. Yulia Levchenko, the Champion of the Second Youth Olympic Games in Nankin-2014, the medalist of the 2017 World Championships in Athletic – Women’s high jump, was chosen to be the Change-Maker on behalf of Ukraine.
