Vadym Gutzeit, alongside decorated Olympians, took part in the closing ceremony of European Week of Sport in Kyiv
On 27 September, a spectacular closing ceremony for European Week of Sport took place in Kyiv, on Kontraktova Square. Over the course of seven days, Ukrainians across the country had the chance to take part in sporting events, competitions, masterclasses and activities that brought together thousands of participants.

European Week of Sport has kicked off in Skalat, in the Ternopil region
The Skalat community, one of the most sport-mad in the Ternopil region, kicked off European Week of Sport at the local lyceum. On 25 September, around sixty pupils in Years 8 to 11 had the opportunity to speak with Anastasia Gykava, a representative of the regional branch of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.

A modern basketball court has been opened in the Cherkasy region to mark the International European Week of Sport #BeActive
In Cherkasy, the modernisation of sports facilities is continuing despite the war. On 23 September, a new, state-of-the-art basketball court was installed at the Cherkasy Regional Specialised Children’s and Youth Sports School for the Olympic Reserve.
