Sports Arbitration Court under the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine

The Court of Arbitration for Sport at the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (CAS under the NOC of Ukraine) – an independent, permanent arbitration court that resolves disputes arising in the field of sport or in areas related to sporting activities and the development of sport. Established by the Executive Committee of the NOC of Ukraine in 2016, it was registered by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine in 2018. It operates in accordance with the Laws of Ukraine ‘On Arbitration Courts’ and ‘On Physical Culture and Sport’.

The CAS at the NOC of Ukraine hears disputes in all cases where entities in the field of physical culture and sport and/or other persons have agreed to refer them to the CAS for consideration.

The CAS under the NOC of Ukraine has jurisdiction over cases concerning the commercial and other interests of entities in the field of sport and physical culture (in particular, disciplinary disputes, disputes relating to athletes’ breaches of ethical standards and the rules of Fair Play; disputes concerning sponsorship contracts; disputes arising from the statutes and regulations of sports federations).

The CAS under the NOC of Ukraine also hears cases concerning appeals against decisions of a federation, association or body in the field of sport in appeal proceedings.
