The Organising Committee of the 18th Winter European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF), to be held in Romania from 14 to 21 February 2027, has published the official sports programme for the upcoming event.

Young athletes aged between 14 and 18 (born between 2009 and 2012) will take part in the festival. The competition programme includes the following nine sports:

  • Ice hockey: traditional tournaments for boys and girls, as well as a 3-a-side format.
  • Alpine skiing: slalom, giant slalom and mixed team competitions.
  • Snowboarding: slopestyle, snowboard cross (SBX) and mixed team competitions.
  • Cross-country skiing: freestyle (7.5 km and 10 km) and classic style (5 km and 7.5 km) races, freestyle sprint and 4x5 km mixed relay.
  • Ski jumping: individual events (K90/K91), Super Team events and mixed team competitions.
  • Biathlon: sprint (6 km and 7.5 km), individual races (10 km and 12.5 km), as well as individual and classic mixed relays.
  • Short track: 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m and 2000 m mixed team relay.
  • Figure skating: short programme and free skate (individual events).
  • Ski mountaineering: vertical race, sprint and mixed relay.

It is worth recalling that at the 2025 EYOF in Bakuriani, the Ukrainian team achieved brilliant results, winning five medals, including three gold and two bronze. This achievement was historic, as Ukrainian athletes had previously never managed to win more than three medals at the Winter EYOF.
