Media accreditation for the 4th Dakar 2026 Summer Youth Olympic Games has begun

Applications will be accepted until 12 June 2026 (until 23:59 GMT). Applications may be submitted by both media rights holders and non-rights holders, including print media, photographers, as well as representatives of media outlets of National Olympic Committees and international federations. 

The Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games will be historic – for the first time in history, the Olympic Games will be held on the African continent. The competitions will take place from 31 October to 13 November 2026 and will bring together around 2,700 athletes aged 17 and under from all over the world.

The Games’ programme will include 25 sports and 153 medal events, as well as a special educational programme aimed at promoting Olympic values, cultural exchange and the development of young athletes.

Accredited media representatives will have the opportunity to work at all competition venues, in the Main Press Centre and the International Broadcast Centre. It is important to note that accreditation cards will be issued immediately upon arrival in Dakar.

For the convenience of the media, the organisers have arranged official accommodation hotels, a transport system between competition venues, as well as a wide range of services and information support.
