Project Duration: 1 May 2025 – 30 April 2027
Implementation Period: 24 months
About the Project
The Integrity Atlas – Integrity and Values Atlas in the Neighbourhood Region project is a collaborative initiative aimed at promoting integrity as a fundamental value within the sports movement across the Neighbourhood region.
The project brings together key stakeholders, including the National Olympic and Sports Committee of the Republic of Moldova, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the Moldova State University, as well as European sports organisations such as the European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation (ENGSO) and the European Olympic Academies (EOA).
Scope
The project aims to assess the current state of integrity in sport across the partner countries and develop a strategic roadmap for future progress. Its key areas of activity include combating match-fixing and corruption, strengthening good governance, promoting positive values in sport, supporting grassroots sporting events, and advancing anti-doping efforts.
Objectives
- Conduct a needs assessment to identify gaps in the implementation of sporting values, particularly integrity, across the partner countries.
- Build networks by fostering cooperation among organisations, countries, and regions through round-table discussions and networking events.
- Exchange best practices to enhance the capacity of project partners in promoting integrity and ethical standards in sport.
- Develop national strategies by supporting partner National Olympic Committees in designing and implementing national strategies and roadmaps for advancing integrity in sport and addressing identified gaps.
- Strengthen cooperation by enhancing the capacity of sports organisations across the region and promoting international collaboration for better coordination of sport-related initiatives.
By promoting integrity as a core value within and through the Olympic Movement, the Integrity Atlas project seeks to create a more ethical, transparent, and inclusive sporting environment across the Neighbourhood region, while strengthening trust, cooperation, and long-term partnerships among all participating stakeholders.
