REGULATIONS

on the All-Ukrainian Action "Olympic Corner 2012"

1. General Provisions.

1.1. The organiser of the All-Ukrainian Action "Olympic Corner" (hereinafter referred to as the Action) is the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the NOC of Ukraine) together with the State Service of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

1.2. The practical organisational burden of the Campaign shall be borne by the NOC of Ukraine and its regional branches, the Olympic Academy of Ukraine.

1.3. Participation in the Promotion is voluntary.

2. Objective.

2.1. The purpose of the Campaign is to develop the Olympic movement in Ukraine, promote a healthy lifestyle, and spread the ideas of Olympism.

3. The main tasks of the Campaign

3.1. To create preconditions for more active involvement of students of educational institutions of all forms of ownership and subordination in physical education and sports.

3.2. To promote the comprehensive harmonious development of students.

3.3. To diversify students' leisure time by means of physical culture and sports.

4. Terms and conditions of the Campaign.

4.1 The Campaign is held from September to December 2011.

4.2. The Campaign is announced in a solemn atmosphere with the involvement of the leadership of the State Service for Youth and Sports, NOC of Ukraine, outstanding athletes, coaches, scientists and specialists in the field of physical culture, sports and the Olympic movement.

4.3. During the Promotion, it is recommended to hold local solemn meetings with the participation of representatives of the NOC of Ukraine, regional branches of the NOC of Ukraine, heads of local state authorities and self-government, teaching staff of educational institutions, pupils, champions and medalists of the Olympic Games, leading athletes of the region.

4.4. An educational institution of any form of ownership and subordination that meets the following requirements may become a Participant of the Campaign (hereinafter referred to as the Participant):

4.4.1. be included in the top 100 schools of the network for the implementation of Olympic education upon the submission of the Olympic Academy of Ukraine.

4.4.2. Will be recognised in the district* as the best in conducting events to promote physical culture, sports and the Olympic movement upon submission of the regional branches of the NOC of Ukraine.

* 509 districts in 27 regions according to the list (Appendix 1).

5. Procedure of the Campaign.

5.1. Prior to the start of the Promotional Offer, the NOC of Ukraine, in close cooperation with the Olympic Academy, shall develop a list of sports and souvenir merchandise and printed products and take measures for their production, purchase and distribution.

5.2. The NOC of Ukraine:

5.2.1. Approves the list of sports, souvenir and printed products that make up the Olympic Corner set.

5.2.2. Sends the kits to the addresses of the Promotional Offer Participants or transfers the appropriate number of kits to the regional offices of the NOC of Ukraine for their further delivery to the Promotional Offer Participants.

5.2.3. Sends souvenir attributes and printed products to each educational institution of Ukraine of any form of ownership and subordination, or to the relevant regional branches of the NOC* of Ukraine for their further transfer to the EI.

5.3. The Olympic Academy of Ukraine shall provide the NOC of Ukraine with information on the 100 best schools of the network for the implementation of Olympic education by 01 August 2011.

5.4. Local branches of the NOC of Ukraine in oblasts, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol:

5.4.1. By 01 August 2011, identify one general education institution in each district that is the best in conducting events promoting physical culture, sport and the Olympic movement and provide information about them to the NOC of Ukraine.

5.4.2. Together with the Participants of the Promotion, hold solemn meetings, conferences and other events aimed at the development and popularisation of the Olympic Movement.

5.4.3. Submit to the NOC of Ukraine a descriptive report on joint events with the Participants of the Promotion in the region by 20 December 2011.
