The NOC of Ukraine has initiated an appeal procedure at the CAS against the IOC's decision to reinstate the rights of the Russian Olympic Committee
The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, in close coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and with the legal support of the law firm Ilyashev & Partners, has officially initiated an appeal procedure at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) (Lausanne, Switzerland) against the decision of the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) dated July 7, 2026, regarding the temporary reinstatement of the rights of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC).

On 16 July, the Olympic House hosted the traditional awards ceremony for the winners of the ‘Best Athlete of the Month’ competition, during which the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine honoured athletes, coaches, federations and sports organisations that had made a significant contribution to Ukrainian sport’s achievements on the international stage in June 2026.
